my girlfriend really liked the veiw we had of the dunes and silver lake and stuff. i think we are either going to try the silver sands again, or the water front resort or whatever it is.

i mean we didn't have any bad service at the silver sands just the parking situation sucked.

i just called and reserved my room at the waterfront resort. they have a rate right now for the apple fest weekend of $20 off each night stayed, with a required 2 night stay. but that fine because i'm staying 2 nights.

Looks like the most it would be is 79 a night (170.64) for a deluxe room w/ 2 queen beds.

I'll have to check and see if they've got solo rooms.  I know they've got rooms with sleeper sofas in addition to the 2 queens.  I'm currently headed up by myself too, but I'll wait a little while longer to figure out what I'm doing.

I have some questions....Really doubting I will make it, but in case work picks up, I would like to know.

Can you camp? If so can you ride in/out of dunes area to campsite and leave unloaded?

I assume you must load/unload quad to return to motel?

I heard some weird stuff about out of staters and registration. Can someone clear up the details for me?

No, have to load up to go in and load up to go out of the dune area.  There are no accomodations that are reachable by atv from the dunes, can't ride the atv out of the gates.

Nothing weird or special needed, only your driver's license to get the ORV.  Out of state vehicles pay a couple bucks extra for daily park permits.
