id like to take a trip there this summer, but im not gonna take the 2 hr drive or whatev it is and have to come back after 20 minutes of riding cas some retard wrecked doing something stupid.... it does look crazy fun tho

That you don't have to worry about. They clear the hills not the trails. Like i said ive been going for 6yrs and have never had a problem. Its all who you go with and where you park. I could show enough to keep you busy all day long. I take it you have seen my other thread Coal Country?

yea, my moms bf's friends go there some too... the hills are a wee bit large for me lol, but i heard there is an insane amount of trails

has anyone heard about trevorton lately?   i heard DCNR has been coming around alot and sending everyone home?   any truth to this?  and some people are saying that they are trying to shut it down

Dcnr doesnt have any control what goes on in trevorton. If your going to spread rumors you should get your info correct first. Reading anthracite is who owns it.22000 acres actually.  Ive been going for 6+yrs without a problem. Its the people that have no clue how to ride then crash is what brings the problems.

wow calm down kid, first off i have been goin up there for years, so maybe u need to get ur facts straight, second my grandma lives in pottstown and there are articles in there newspaper that say how they are trying to get trevorton shut down, and i never had a problem with anyone up there either, but things do change   sorry for asking a question that is what this forum is for, never once did i make a statement

First off, Not a kid. Second if you have been going for years you would know dcnr does not own the property,Reading Anthracite does.There are articles in the paper almost every weekend about someone getting hurt and the cops sending people home. Its mostly the dumb ass Kids that ruin it for everyone else. Not wearing helmets,riding on the street, littering you get the idea.  Ive been going alot lately and ive seen cops there but they just kept driving. (It was by smurfs pond if you know where that is)  The best bet for people that havent been there is to go with someone that knows where to park and the trails. That way you keep safe and the cops away. Accidents blow. Ive seen my share there.

i think its private land so its open year round, but good luck finding it, its like some big freakin secret or something

you have to pay a yearly fee of $100 to reading anthracite and they give you a map of all the places that reading anthracite owns and you can ride wherever you want on there land

Directions:
Coming from the south take Route 61 North to Pottsville. At
the second traffic light (see sign for One Norwegian Plaza) make a
left had turn. Continue straight through the next traffic light (M & T
Bank on the corner) for one block to a stop sign. At the stop sign
make another left and continue for one block to a stop sign. Our
building is on the right hand corner.

Coming from the North take Route 61 South to Pottsville. At

Coming from the West
take Route 209 to Pottsville. Continue
straight thru Pottsville, you will pass Sheetz and Burger King on your
right as you are coming into town. Continue straight coming into
the center of town. You will pass a war memorial where the road
divides. The next block is a traffic light with a Chinese restaurant on
your left. Continue straight for one block after the light and then
make a right hand turn. Continue straight for one block to a stop
sign and then continue straight for one more block to a stop sign.
Our building is on the right hand corner.
