Well...finally got to the range today since I bought those 2 new pistols (S&W bodygaurd .38 and Beretta PX4 9mm subcompact).

The S&W shot well, I honestly expected worse for such a light pistol with a .38 +p round...it was very manageable.  The laser was WAY off, and no surprise...I forgot my allen wrenches at home, so I couldn't adjust it.  It definitely isn't a target pistol, but a great carry gun.

The Beretta on the other hand...not happy, it is going back to Beretta asap.  I was hitting about 5" low and 4" to the left (at 7 yards  ???)...thought maybe it was just me, so I let 3 of my buddies shoot it, all of us grouped in the same general area.  So we go talk to one of the guys who work there, who is a CPL trainer and firearms instructor...and he assumed it was just us not knowing how to shoot.  He gave it a whorl...same thing, low and to the left.  Said that it was one of the first pistols that they have seen that was actually off that far, not just shooter error like normal.  And it has fixed sights, so there is no adjusting going on.  Hopefully Beretta will make it right (at no expense to me), but we shall see...this is my first Beretta, so I have no idea how their customer service is.  But I'm not too pleased right now...

that sucks langford... sounds a lot like the scope i just bought. i bought it used and it is in great  shape. it is a trijicon accupoint 3-9. it is beautiful and the glass is awesome but i can not adjust it in, i was using kentucky windage at 100 yards and keeping a damn tight group in the bullseye. but i was aiming about 2 ft high and 6 ft to the left lol. now i have got to see about warrantying it

That sucks, Trijicon makes some damn nice optics...plus they are made about an hour from my house, so I like them even more.  From what I have read, they will stand behind their products...hopefully that will hold true for yours.

Just watched that new Son Of Guns show on the discovery channel. Another hour of my life I'll never get back. Big disappointment and staged like all "reality" shows have become.

Didn't think of that.  Do you have any steel mags to try out?  I was thinking weak extractor but it's new right?  I had a AR that would extract every time by hand but inconsistently when fired.  I bought a new extractor spring and the little rubber nub that goes inside it and replaced the old spring.  Ran fine until stolen.
