so guys blm is the best spot to stay? I would like to bring the little trailer if all possible. but if I do that I need showers. Is there a hotel really close? or showers near by?

Ther are hotels close but they are expensive.  Last time I was there it was al least 100 a night without taxes.  BLM is way closer to the good stuff than the good camping spots, but you can just park a truck with gas and whatnot in the blm parking so you don't have to go a all the way back to the east side.
