Lazy motherf**kers out there need to get off their a$$es and do some work. I love how people who do nothing for me, and continually screw you over expect you to do something for them. You can't help me with a project at work, and then call in sick 40 f**king times? Then you want me to give you a day off? WTF! Then get mad because you can't have it? GTFO! Everybody thinks they are entitled to something for nothing!!!  The whole problem with our country, let alone just my work.. I feel like stabbing my eyes out right now.

you could always implement a rule like we have @ work, that in a 365 day period you can't have more than 5 "sick" days (ie: calling in being gone)

works out rather well. obviously, if you have the flu or something serious you only get one strike (not 2, 3, or 4 however long you're gone) but. gets the point across to peeps.

I got a guy like that at work also Peels. Some how he manages to get his jobs pushed off on me, even when i have a schedule full as hell for the day. Another thing he likes to do is call in sick if there is a job on his schedule he has been to before, and knows is going to suck balls, so naturally it gets moved over to me and I get stuck doing it.

I could go on and on about this guy....like the fact that he is scared shit less he is going to get laid off, because he knows that he does not know how to do anything technical in his job, so he keeps tabs/notes on us other techs (if we are screwing off aka surfing the web like I am now , or running some errands or whatever) so if the time comes that lay offs come around, he has this book of shit on the rest of us. Worst part is he doesn't think we all are smart enough to figure it out!    

One last vent about this dude is plain and simple. He has been in telecommunications for almost 30 years, and the dude don't know or understand shit! This is where that technical remark came from earlier. His job is to do dial tone and dsl troubles (not that technical) and crap like that. My job is to keep the fiber optic network in Central Iowa up and running, install/replace network elements, track down and repair fiber cuts when we have one. BUT some how I get stuck with dial tone and dsl troubles on my schedule now too, and he gets away with playing solitare all damn day.  

Like I said i could go on and on about this  , but I won't haha.

Everybody thinks they are entitled to something for nothing!!!  The whole problem with our country, let alone just my work.. I feel like stabbing my eyes out right now.

You hit it right on there brotha!  I saw a banner for people to put comments on at school.  The topic on the banner was, "Is heathcare a right or a privelege?"  What the FOOK?  Since when did healthcare become anything close to a right?  BULLSHHHH IT

Anyhow, I work in a warehouse.  I'm one of about two folks in the entire place of 100+ people that is going to school or has a degree besides the management.  I take on special projects, I'm the subject matter expert in my area, and I'm usually stuck fixing all the problems other folks create by trying to "help out" in my area when they haven't a clue what they're doing.  These people will be stuck in this warehouse for 20+ years of their career doing the same job and getting paid squat because they'll top out on the pay scale.  These fuhcks are lazy and will do anything to get away with not doing work.  I'm stuck doing my work, extra stuff, trying to get out of the warehouse and do something different, and being their babysitter!!!

Best of all, most of these guys will get better raises than I will this year.  First, because they've been there longer, second because my boss is a complete SLACKER and has no spine whatsoever.  When they give us pay raises, all the management sits in one meeting and evaluates everyone.  Even the other supervisors who don't know anything about what I do have a say in my raise.  If someone else that's been there longer "deserves" a bigger raise, mine will get docked to make room for theirs.  BULLSHI  TT, it drives me nuts that other folks weigh in on my job and all they go by is perception.

I know I can't quit though.  The retirement, benefits, pay, and treatment overall is 10x better than anything in this area.  Luckily, I work for a great company that overall treats their employees well and the majority of the company is not like the warehouse.
