got my 6 month review today and over all im exceeding (doing extra project ect) which is good but what sucks is no raise  guy that is in cubical next to me does shit for work always on youtube and myspace and gets caught and wrote up all the time for it.he got a 3 which is meeting and get a fookin raise.needless to say im pissed

Well i have been at my job for almost 2 years now. I was told i would get a raise after 90 days well that didnt happen. Then was told after 18 months i would get a raise. Well once again no raise. There are f u c k heads here that dont do a thing and dont now shit making more than me. I have ran damn near every machine here and can run them with no problems. Still no raise. Next month i am going to days for 2 months to get trained on 2 or 3 more machines. Do you think ill get a raise after the pay increase is unfroozen? I dout it.  

Oh yeah. And I havent taken a sick day since i have been here.

Believe it or not it's actually pretty common for "less than great" companies tell you about those built in timed pay raises and then not follow through.  I've been through that more than once.

I didn't get my promotion until I had been with the company almost 2 yrs so don't feel left out.



Not trying to be cheesy but I think something we can all consider is that we're lucky to have something to bitch about.  There are lots of folks out that don't have jobs and would like to be working right now...

I work for a big ass company that makes millions on top of millions a year. You would think they could give a guy a raise. But like you said i am lucky to have a job. They have laidoff over half the people here. Im lucky to still be here.
