I don't night ride anyway, so I don't need them.

How do you guys block off the electrical connections??  I don't think electrical tape would be too water proof  ???

Just curious as to what guys are doing with the brackets. cutting , leaving them on ? FR.

Segkast

Left mine on. Don't hurt anything, and they're not real big. Eventually I want to put some HID's on there, but - $$$, so at night I put my stockers back on. I haven't done anything to the connectors, and they're working fine, but then I don't ride through much mud or water either. I was, however, thinking about getting some of that wire insulation/wrap stuff that shrinks w/ a heat gun  to cap them off. I'll post up if I do that and it works.

and pack some dielectric grease in the ends of the connectors so they won't corrode from exposure

Have you guys tried liquid electrical tape?
I've used it several times & think its a great product from Napa

Peelz

Dude, taking off the headlights easily adds 10+hp. I can't believe I haven't done it. Go for it, just leave the wires and connectors swinging in the breeze. ;)

I ride alot at night, so can't do it. Riding at night at Little Sahara was the $hit. Freaky, to say the least, but way cool.

use balloons then tape the ends off so they are tight and don't come off

Lol, you guys are taking it way to far. Black tape or zip ties will be fine. And I cut my brackets down FR. They looked kinda goofy sticking out.

If remounting the lights is  ever required then connections free of dirt & water would be nice  :P
