I'm no quad or bike tech but it seems reasonable to me that a Griz, being a utility, would from the factory have a much quieter and subsequently more restrictive exhaust than a "big BIG liter bike making 185+ hp".  "uh, without NOS."  Replace a restrictive pipe with a great pipe and get great gains.  Replace a decent pipe with a great pipe and the gains won't be as dramatic.  He will never see great gains on a liter bike, exhaust only, because they flow so good anyway (relatively speaking).  A utility marketed to hunters and stuff is going to be plugged up and a good exhaust will make a big difference.  Maybe I'm way off base but this is how I see it.
