Hi fellers and ladies(peels)

anywhoo

I am a 21 year old man living in my parents house.

we work together doing family business and what not blah blah.

When i purchased my quad i would have NEVER got it if i asked mom first because she thinks its too dangerous and a family friend passed away on one before (may he RIP)

so i just bought it brought it home and she eventually got over it..

NOW i am looking @ a bike and have been over the past years. An R6 to be exact but SHE IS WAY AGAINST IT!
i mean i am 21 now, im way mature and have been working for my parents since 15...

she just goes nuts even when i bring it up to the point where she will tear up...

I am old enough to make my own decisions but at the same time i am in her house and need to respect her.

WTF DO I DO!:(

PS the deal on this r6 2008 is smoking... only 6500

B: Did you ask Uncle Joey yet? Maybe Uncle Jesse will let you ride his Hawg.

C: Tough question bro. Does she bother you about the quad alot? If you have the means, I almost wanna say,  just get it.  But, it is not my family.

by means do you mean cash? yes i have the cash thats not a problem... she does not bother me about the quad AT ALL. She got over it after the first week.

It's real simple. If you're not an idiot or a menace to the rest of the people on the road while riding then get it. You'll always have to watch out for the other non-driving morons out there as well but all in all if you ride with care you'll be a-lot better off. Now if you like to tear it up at all times and have no respect for speed or other consequences of bad driving then you're probably predestined for failure from the beginning and it wouldn't be a wise choice to get it.....Stay safe if you decide on getting it.

My mother cried for a week when I brought home my first bike.

Honestly, your of age now and you can do what you want. But dont burn any bridges either, remember they pay your bills.
Just a little 81hp trail bike.

I won a bank repo Auction on a Ninja 600 in 1994. I had just turned 18. went to the bank to sign the papers. Mom called me at the bank and said "walk away" $250/ month.

I was 27 when I bought my sportbike and my mom took me to the dealership and begged the salesperson NOT to sell it to me.

My parents did not get upset when I got my quad... nobody loves me  :'(

I say do it! Your Mom got over the quad after the first week, she will get over the bike as well. Just promise her you will be careful. Explain to her, say: remember when I got the quad? Your ok with it now, and you will be with the bike as well.

Us Moms have a hard time when our children do things that may be potentially dangerous, but we realize after our children show us they are mature enough to handle the situation that we are being way too over-protective. Although the worry will never completely go away, we settle down a bit and accept it.
