Gas light?????

I got her all put back together, but the gas light is staying on. I've got a half tank in there. Any ideas? I remember a buddy of mine, his gas light came on one day and I don't think it ever turned off. At the time I didn't care, but now that it's on my bike I do.   Anybody??

Just thought I'd report back to everyone my findings. so... I got my new hood this past weekend. I put my headlights back on as well as the full front plastics.
I started my quad just to look at the headlights again. I looked at my dash and noticed the gas light was off.



So I did some digging. I only plugged in the headlights AND...... theres some sort of lil' resistory thing mounted on the (looking at the quad from the front) right side. ... I was like... hmmmmmmmm I wonder. Shut the quad off. Unplugged the lil' bugger, Started the quad. BAM. Gas light on.... turned it off.. Plugged it back in. Started the quad. BAM Gas light off. 

Anyone know what the stupid thing is?
