was the oil you put in JASO MA certified?  sound like the stuff you put in wasnt wet clutch friendly.  when diagnosing a problem, always go back to the last thing you did which in this case was the oil, and i know there can definately be a problem with some synthetic oil and the clutch disks.

Well went for a ride today. Got the yamalube oil and new filter put in hoping that would fix it. The motorbike shop give me the oil free of charge to. he said let me know if that fixes the problem. It was still doing the skipping. But its doing it earlier now at 65 kays instead of 85 kays. its getting worse. Its just got me stumped. No one seems to know what the problem is or whats causing it. i taking it to motorbike shop next week as its still under warranty. Wont cost me a cent. Will be interesting to see what they find whats causing this annoying problem. Someone did say it sounds like a elctrical problem. I know in 4th gear i can do over 100 kays.

i fail to see how electrical could cause the problem, with electrical it either works or it doesnt work.  if the clutch truly is slipping, you will have to pull the disks and have a look, they may be penetrated with a friction modifier.

Well finally fixed the problem. gearbox was stripped down and the 5th gear cog was rounded and not meshing right. All under warranty. Will be curious to see if this happens again.

dang, sounds like a fluke thing, you're the first one I've heard rounding a gear off.
