i'm just curious what are your mods, and what kind of numbers did you get from a dyno run (if you have done one)?

and what swingarm are you running on?

i'm just asking this because i will be building up my engine this winter and i will be running a stock swingarm.

the mods i will have after my build are:

PC III
barker standard duals
FCI with box intake
+3 TB
CNC ported head
+2 valves
beehive springs
RJ cam
+5 storker crank
10.5:1 piston
running on 93 octane pump gas.

you guys think it's doable on a stock swinger?

and this thread will be a continuation of my old thread, which is here:

any other questions i have about my build i will put in here.

It will be tough on a stock swinger. I had a pretty built stock bore and it was a hand full. Just out of curiosity why are you goin with the +5 crank. You can get she same or more power out of a high comp. big bore or stock bore bike. Your labor cost will be alot less without breakin the case.

simply because i don't want to have to run race fuel. i want to be able to get my fuel at the same time and place i fill up my truck.

I went with

11:1 stock bore
bark stage 2 head
bark cam
6 mil
+3 KDS tb
+2 ferreas
beehives
91 octane

... Im getting 75hp and 58tq...... I still haven't got to ride it yet..... but I got scared so I bought a +4 swinger, widened the corners +2 all around, and lowered it 1 inch. I can't wait to give a ride report.

Oh and I think Preddy is hitting 80hp on a stock swinger.

Iam running a +3 stock swinger. I think it was the best thing i have done  I like to hill climb and with this swingarm i dont really worry at all. Its also alot better for the drag to,the front end stays down much better and it still handles the trails well.

about how much trail riding do you do? i ride mostly trails but when i need the extra power for the sand, drags, or whatever, it will be there. that was another concern of mine if i got the +3 how much will it hold me back on the trails.

i've started thinking about maybe not doing the crank install but still going with the piston and head work. what kind of results could i get with that? if i do go that route i mean.

I ride mine on a stock swinger, it's no 80 horse like preddy's but it'll hit 70 on a good day

I ride nothing but trails and i havent noticed any change except for the better. Hey troy i have a 38hp bike and 34 ft lbs of torque and can probably run close to the 80hp bike

It sounds like you have a pretty strong 38 horsepower bike fo sho

1badazz_700r

If i can ding the rev limiter in 5th gear with a 15t front sprocket like i do with the 14 i should beable to say i accomplished something :rofl:that 38 hp was before the +5 crank and new piston, so i should hit around 42 hp now
