Alpinestars Tech 3 boots?

i just bought a pair of Alpinestar Tech 3 boots, when i went they had 2 ifferent styles, i guess one is for dirt bike riders and one is for atv riders. the ones for atv's have the little metal plate on the front, i was curious which ones you guys have. i bought the one's for dirt bikers, i'm wondering if i should exchange them for the other ones

i got the alpine tech 6s. They are really stiff but still new. Which ones are specifically for atvs.

i don't know if you can get them on the tech 6, i know the tech 3's have a boot designed a little bit different, the soles seems a little more agressive for better traction and they have a little metal plate on the toe tip.

ive never had tech 3's,

but my thor quadrant boots had the more "aggressive" pattern.

i now ride with tech 7's and i like them a lot better than the quadrants. i slipped around a little bit on stock foot pegs, but my nerf bars basically have spikes for pegs so i dont slip at all now.


if you want a little more bite on your pegs id get the atv boot. but personally the smooth dirtbike tread is fine for me.

i have an older pair of tech 3's and they were stiff as a board til i soaked em through a couple times riding thru a river and wearing them til they dried

both size ten but im size 12 and they fit good, i just am thinking about upgrading and getting a looser size

Well I wear a size 10 and a half wolverine boot as a daily pair, think I could squeeze in em?

think they would be great. there all worn in and stretched out so youll fit.

I have the Tech 3 boots,which are a few years old.I brought them when i had a dirtbike and from a dirtbike shop and they have the metal plate at the front

just bought the tech 3's 2 weeks ago and mine has the metal plate on the front, i think it makes te boots look sweet

I was going to buy the Tech 3's but my friend who owns his own bike shop has been getting a lot of the Tech 3's back after people wear it once.  The stitching is coming apart along the seams.  Also the sole is breaking, not enough flex I guess.  So I ended up getting the Thor Quadrant ATV boots.  Took about 2 hours to break in but they are very comfortable and grip the pegs very well.
