The new plug will give you an accurate read after the first couple of minutes.

Go through the gears, up to speed, and kill it.

Pull plug to read.

For the issue about dieing from 0 to full, there is this thing called the hotshot that supposedly is made to fix this problem. Apparently all YFZ's have this problem... 

I dont see how putting a differant CDI in would help though.

its called the boyesen quickshot. all YFZs have that problem because of the flat slide carb but mine was was than normal so thats why i  posted it up. ive heard some mixed reviews on that part but i was planning on buying one whenever i had an extra $90.
