whats the price diff pub vs private?

the only thing is, if it's private, it'll end up being only us. and we'd have to schedule time for everyone to play. If it's a pub, at least others may join

last time I looked servers were like $1.00 per slot per month
pubs were like 1.50

I thought that was the idea..
there are a million pubs we could infiltrate.. why pay for what you can get for free

I have been on a ton pof pubs..
still have yet to find one I like..
filled with asshats
filled with kids too

i would MUCH rather play with only the people I know and trust (not to cheat)

There is plenty of empty servers we could just dominate. Just Xfire the IP

I have one right now..
like 12 of us play..

we all meet on Sunday night, at around 8ish, and play till 11 or so..
some nights it is only 6 or 8 of us, but it is still a ton of fun

that would be the same theory, say Tuesday we all jump on around 7 or whatever and play till we need to stop

of course the server is up 24/7 and you could jump on whenever
we could even put up a banner on the site here with the info
and you can even see how may people are on at any given time

the banner would be clickable and it would take you to the gametracker site with all of our info

we could also set up a private area of this board for players only
we could use that area to keep the server options set to what everyone likes it to be
maps, mods, etc
or someone could post"hey, anyone wanna play tonight?, I will be on the server at like 8... blah blah
sometimes those "impromptu" games are the best ones!

Just saw this!  I'd be in for BF2 but I see everybody has COD.  I think I got that but didn't really like the controls that much.  I couldn't get it set up like BF2.

I'd want to get in with you all.  Let me dig COD out again and see if I can get used to playing it.  I'd hate to get on there and get owned like I was a noob or something.  I like to bring the spank-a-saurus in whatever game I play!

I think COD's just better in general. better guns graphics ect.

new server, this one is a bunch of old high school buddies, and very private

servers are soooo cheap..

seriously, we could do this for like 10 or 15 bucks a guy for a whole year!
