To me, that can be construed as a positive. No genetic problems: Metabolic problems can sometimes be fixed.

So Erich... have you found out anything else from the Doctor's?

Haven't heard anything in a while and I was curious. Hope all is well.

I was just talking about it in chat today, thanks for asking.  Looks like they have it figure out, its a metabolic disorder, I can't even say it let alone spell it but his body has trouble breaking down proteins and amino acids.  He'll be on meds for the rest of his life and he has to watch his diet so he doesn't get sick.  If it gets out of control some of his organs will shut down...bad.

hard to tell with these kind of things.  His blood test he took on monday will confirm it but the doctor said he's 90%.  We'll talk about it more on friday when they get the results.

Well I am glad it's not something worse, even though it's not the outcome we all were hoping for, I am glad there is medication to help with this disorder.

Check out some home remedy books, and herbalism books, there is a bit of information to be found on diets and foods that help with different disorders. They are not cure's but they do help make handling the disorder much easier. I'm not telling you to make an herbal concoction, just check out what kind of foods might help with his metabolism and digestion, there may be some foods your doctor forgot or didn't mention.

Take care, and keep us posted.

It could of been much worse so I'm happy he'll be ok.

And we are already working on home remedy's, I have Owen smoking weed daily.

Is this the issue?

Phenylketonuria

(even ninja had to look up spelling)

Somebody here at work has a child with that. Have to be real strict on diet, or could be a problem.
