this is how i lock my rappy down at night, sence i moved to osceola ar. i have no garage, but its about 3 ft from my front door.

living near the ghetto has made me really worried about my rappy. its insured but...yeah

I'd look into some cable vs chain.  Bolt cutters go to chain really easy.

I picked up a kryptonite (brand) 1/2" coated 10' long cable.

the lock is boron steel, and the chain is a tempored security chain. both were pretty expesnsive. i have a REALLY thick(guessing 3/4") brinks security cable on the 400ex, the cable is really anoying to use(keeps recoiling, and u have to have the key in to lock it).

Krandall

The cable I have just has a loop in each end so I just run the padlock through that just like how you have your chain.. I mean. REALLY if someones determined, they are going to get it anyways. Just a matter of how long it takes them.

I have mine parked in the garage in back behind the truck, but when I go to the dunes I run cable through the tires and have zip tied one of those personal alarms to the inside by the steering stem, then run fishing line to the handle bars. If anybody tries to steer it the line pills the little pin and the alarm goes off.

Here's what they look like

yeah i was giving some serious thought to the alarm situation....

Peelz

I would try "booty traps"  Or charge the raptor like an electric fence.

that sounds awesome! no dealer in my area though. :(
i wonder how much those cost?

LawShark

i could cut thru that pole before i got thru that chain ;)

I believe the unfortunate truth is that, if someone wants it bad enough, they'll find a way to steal it regardless.

So IMO, you best protection is good insurance that's updated frequently with your mods (save receipts, and take pics).

I would do a cable that locks into itself (even though they are a pain) and your chain.  Lock is probably easier to cut then the chain.  Cable is a pain in the ass to cut for bolt cutters.  At least if you have both then they will have to bring some serious tools.  Giant bolt cutters and a sawsall (which are noisy and not stealthly) to get it.

Out Back Welding

yeah ive seen bolt cutters at my work that would cut through a cable like butter, but they are like 3 and 1/2 feet tall too, but yeah...then theres always battery powered grinders ect... they will get it, if they want it. insurance is def ftw!

i would like to test the lock and chain i got with bolt cutters( they are both considered maximum security) boron steel..dont know much about it and how hard it is to cut( its so much skinnier than a normal lock, so it must be badass) and the chain is tempored..wonder how hard that is to cut with bolt cutters.
