Man oh man, would I have had fun in that room in '83.  Heck, I'd have fun in there now!

I used to go to camps during holidays & stuff & the place we used to go had a major wasp problem
We tracked the wasps one easter, & at night we mixed 50/50 diesel & petrol
Put on motorcycle wet weather gear/gloves etc,etc & went wasp hunting
we would block up all but one entrance to each hive we had found, then pour our little wasp coctail in.
Block the final hole & leave them to stew!
we did this 3 nights in a row & destroyed 12 huge wasp nests with an average diameter of over 1 metre! (thats a mouther fuckin load of wasps)
The last 3 nests we did, we torched off!
Thousands of burning wasps flying out into the night sky!
Looked friggn awesome!
Then when the fire went out, we re-dosed & plugged the nest like before.

Digging the nests up a couple of days later was scary, they were huge & absolutely full of wasps & larve.

The plugging up & diesel ensures that the petrol vapour can't flash off too quick & the diesel helps "wet" everything through.
That way you get a 100% kill of the nest.
