I think you should take care of employees. They take care of you!

When I bought the car, they wanted to charge me invoice. I knew I would be able to buy for employee price, and I had the certificate and the authorization number when the car arrived. The owner gladly accepted it AFTER another dealer had to place the order for us because we couldn't get an allocation for my car. The store still made $1700, but GM pays that. If I was some average Joe I would have got at least another $1000 off.
