A large percentage of people here are Native American, including myself. I don't advertise it, but there are some that have it on their car tags (They pay half of what everyone else pays) and get free medical, dental, and food. Some even get huge grants for housing (Up to $15-20,000) that they do not have to pay as long as they stay at the residence for 10-15 years. They also pay based on the Certificate of Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB card). I've seen people come in here that pay as little as $100 per month to live in a 2000 square foot home.

Vietnamese refugees here get all kinds of govt help. Grant $ for a car, house etc. Or at least they used to. There is a large amount of Thai, vietnamese people here. Always had brand new cars and houses making the same $ I did back in '94. $5/ hour

There are a lot of Native American communities that look like slums here. Many don't work. The problem is they choose to live in rual areas where there is no work.
