15t front sprocket....

i know it's been discussed a crap load but what do you guys think about it? i'm going to need new sprockets and a chain soon. i was thinking if i should get a 15 tooth front sprocket or not. my mods are in my sig would i loose to much bottom end or should i still be ok? i'm also thinking about getting the FCI with box intake to add alittle bit more power. so basically my question is what sprockets front and rear should i get and what tooth count front and rear should i get?

the 15T will let you apply the bottom end better, it makes 2nd a valuable gear in the tight trails, and you'll hardly ever to leave third to whip through the quicker sections.  IMO, the FCI isn't worth the 300.00 for the extra pony it may/or may not give you for riding over your current intake .

yep, about 5mph.   If your gone replace all sprockets and chain I'd order a 14T and a 15T (RMATV ~15.00).  15T for trails/MX.  14T for sand

then i will just order a 15 tooth on the side. i still want the the 14 tooth for when i hit the dunes.

i wouldnt replace the rear unless you have to. but the 15t should be good for your bike with the barkers.

its not like your gonna break the bank buying it, i say get 14 and 15 and see what you like better

well my rear sprocket is showing signs of wear too. the teeth are start to curve alittle. i mean my quad is almost 2 years old and i drive it like i stole it basicly anytime i ride.

so what do you guys think? is that a good deal for that package?

not sure what brand chain that is.. I'd suggest not skimping on the chain though. I've had 2 different ones other than stock. Stock lasted me a good while. I bought a knockoff cheap brand from Dennis  Kirk, lasted seriously like 3 months. It stretched so bad got to the point where I had maxed out the tightening ability and it was loose, last one I bought last spring was a D.I.D x-ring. Has been great to me!

15t sprockets are our highest selling aftermarket sprockets for the Raptor.  The Raptor comes stock with so much low end that most guys love the 15t swap.

Dont buy a cheap chain.  Its not worth it.  If you find an awesome deal on a chain pass it up unless its a DID or Regina.  The last thing you want is for your chain to snap and break your cases.

so what's so special about this X-ring chain? and does D.I.D. make one? and i heard the stock case saver will work with a 15 tooth but it's a tight fit is there anything i should do to it?

The main difference is how they seal. The O-ring seals only at one point the side of the O. The X style seals at 2 points. Because of the two sealing points, the X style seals a little better than the O style. The X-ring is a little more expensive to make than an O-ring so a X-ring chain is more expensive.

Here's what the x-ring looks like.. as you can see. It has 2 points of sealing vs just one.

does the x ring hold up better in mud and water and stuff. because i'm pretty good about finding mud and water and the trails i ride. how well does it hold up compared to the o ring chains?
