This has already happened to me, it is getting pretty common around the Twin Cities here in Minnesota.  My fiance was taking my truck to the park-n-ride where she would then take the bus to work.  Somebody crawled under the truck with a battery powered sawzall and cut the exhaust pipe in fornt of the cat and almost through the pipe behind it.  Something must have scared them away before they could finish since they didn't take it with.  I didn't realize anything had happened until I was driving down the road and all of a sudden my truck got real loud.  I thought my exhaust had just come loose until I went under the truck and saw that it had been cut.

They target any vehicle they can crawl under in a parking lot.  A couple of times a month the fiance says someone will get off the bus, start up their truck and it sounds like a harley.  I have heard of people now having the VIN # etched onto the cat so that the recycling centers can run numbers if they think it is stolen.

One of my customers has a 4runner and they took his.  He was kinda douchey so it was funny.  Otherwise it woulda pissed me off.  I have a 2500HD so I'm a little nervous.  But I also have a .40 so I'll just shoot the motherfucker.

That is a great idea.  Maybe a little message on it too.  Something like, "If this cat is trying to be sold for scrap, immediately shoot the individual trying to sell it.  Thank you"

Peelz

Krandall: "peelz. I'll be real with you. As much as I hate on you for soccer, I really don't mind it"

We have found people at my buddies place trying to get under junk cars out in the field to cut them off.  I would not want to crawl under a car out in the field, who knows what is living under there.

Krandall, you should tell your old man to be carefull what he parks out next to the road by his house.

The meth heads have been going to alot of rural places to steal things off of junk cars and find anhydrous tanks they can syphon to make meth.

I'll let him know.. The only car that we have parked out front for sale is a 65 ( believe ) fairlane 500 4dr. They can steal the thing for all we care. We're selling it for a guy that owes us a crapton of money..  But it'll give us good reason to lower our rides! :grin_nod:
