STEM SQUEaK!

ERMAHGERD, it was soooo annoying! The stem squeaks at every mm the steering is turned! What do I need to do to lube this and make it go away!

im not sure on this one. i would try putting some grease or lubricant in the stem bushing right in front of the gas tank.

Thats exactly what it it.  Did you replace the stem recently by any chance?

Get the greasable steering stem mount, they are like $35 + and it eliminates it for a long,long time... Did mine..

Where do you order the greasable one at?Im going to be doing a new stem and bars in a few weeks

thanks temp. I was trying to find that link this morning but couldnt find it!


I have the OMI on my rappy. I took the old one out and the plastic was worn to heck and the orings on top and bottom were worn out. the omi one is VERY sturdy and greasable. I filled mine up the first time and then when I had the hood off my rappy to put on the CF one. Didn't take much at all. Very pleased bars turn easy, and no damned squeeking!

Nope, the stem hasnt been replaced. And I would think it would be bad, its pretty new. I will take her apart and grease her for now until I get the greasable one. I spent all my money on nerf bars this month!
