ok so i was wondering if it is illegal to remove the warning signs on the plastics of my 4 wheeler,

i couldnt imagine it being illegal but want to make sure.    also i was wondering the best way to get rid of them without messing up the plastic.

i figured i could drill the rivet heads like you normally would but then im gonna have holes in it where the rivets were.

help me out please with your ideas or pics or whatever you got!

thanks

Yes it's legal.

It's only illegal if you remove your matress tag.

its easy to remove them, but becareful when drilling the rivits. cause they get very hot and will melt the plastic. The new aftermarket labels come with new rivits and washers. plus they look awesome

Temptation

When you take off the old ones drill the front out and have someone hold the back of the rivet with pliers so it does not spin and it creates less heat     Go to EBAY and type in warning labels for what bike you have and there are replacements there in chrome and assorted colors and such

I just drilled mine out. Hold the backside of the rivet with some pliers. You can get some sick looking aftermarket ones. I have some aftermarket ones on my 700, and none on my 350. Ill take pictures of both tommorow

warning signs only required for manufacture for idiot liability prevention. but...still they sue Manufacturers. stupid.

Heres the pictures. 700 is blue, 350 is grey. Sorry the 700 is dirty,  It is in the middle of getting the rims, grab bar, and bumper painted black, and putting my new black hood on!!!!!!  8)

damn,  ur pictures got deleted before i could see em!    the link worked,  those are pretty awesome!    i removed the labels last night in less than 10 minutes i think im jsut gonna leave it blank for a clean look.

i was thinking about trying to fill in the holes even though there small but i think it would be a waste of time!  plus i couldnt think of what to fill them with besides maybe super glue or somethiing like that.

I just put stainless screws with lock nuts in the holes. Just another option.
