I gotta go change the oil filter on the truck.  I'm running BG synthetic and my rep wants an oil sample.  I don't give a shit what he says, I'm not going 10,000 miles on this oil without changing the filter.  We'll see what the lab report says.  Last report he did was with Shell Rotella and it was fine and a whole lot less expensive than the synthetic.  Plus I'm gonna change the air and fuel filters.  Maintenance bitches.

I got my email from GM from OnStar.

The say I won't need an oil change until 8300 miles. Owners manual says change it at least once per year if you do not get to the recommended mileage. The Tahoe doesn't have OnStar, but has a computer that calculates the oil's life like the Corvettes. It figures average engine temp and mileage and breaks down oil life. Pretty cool stuff.
