I understand the whole work your way up the food chain. Obviously they've put in their time. But I don't care how much shit you deal with in a day... It sure as hell isn't enough to make $40k a DAY!

And I agree Eric, I feel the CEO of a company that size should be around 2-3mil per year.  14 is way too high.

Some jobs, you should earn a bucketload of dough. This is one of them. But, like you said, bit too much. I was thinkin' High 6 figures- 1 mil, though.  This guy has way more stress than I could ever imagine, probably has to leave his family all the time. Not something I would do, then have to come home and worry about $!

High 6 digits is still a bit low for what he does.  And anyone can live on 1 mil per year, thats not the issue.  I see 2-3mil as an acceptable number.

yes he is, and he does way more then they do.  I'm not saying the 14.6 he's making is ok.  But he should be up in the low 7 digit range.

Oops, had the "f**k that" in the wrong spot. fixed :grin_nod:  The emphasis was supposed to be on the amount of stress and b.s. this sort of position comes with vs. what it brings in. Alot of people count on this guy and others like him. I would not want to deal with it, then come home and deal with $ problems. He should have no worries, so his focus can remain clear. I would expect to be paid a ton, but....Not 14 tons.

That's fine if YOU wouldn't do his job. All I'm saying is, there's more than enough people in this f*cked up country that could do his job, do it well, and be more than fine w/ a 100k a year paycheck. I was using that number as a mere number, that's all.

There's more than enough people in this world that are over paid. I don't blame them by any means, if the company is willing to pay them and think they are worth millions a year. I think they need to do some serious re-thinking.

The president of our amazing country makes $400,000 a year..... why is the ceo of any company making more than someone like him?

Do you really think the president only makes 400k.     They get kick backs from EVERYONE.

And what does he have to pay for out of that 400k....not much.  And he has the craziest 747 to haul him around.
