So i made a new hill climb and went to do it a second time and i rode a straight up and down wheelie for about 10 seconds, then it flipped backwards and rolled sideways two times. So now i need to know a couple things; Can you buy just the brackets to remount a light or do you have to buy the entire outter shell. If i bend the bumper back, will the brackets snap?

Flynbyu

Ouch.

Hoper you're okay.

I know you can replace brackets on the 660's headlights, but I'm not 100% sure on the 700. I would contact your local dealer, or look at a service manual to get the part numbers you need.

The front bumper is crap on the 700. I would be very cautions bending or heating anything on the bumper (especially if it's a stock bumper). The OEM brackets on the 700 are pretty soft, unlike the 660 (The 660 bumber bolts directly to the frame).

I hope the repairs aren't too expensive.

Thanks Brian. It is a Bling star bumper, i forgot to mention. And I hope they arent expensive either because i only work in the summer being 15

Flynbyu

No problem.

You might be better off having someone make some for you that are a little stronger. They wouldn't be hard to fab.

ok i was on crack when i said that... and unfortunately when mine showed up today it was just the front bezel, not the back with the mounts, i gues i should have looked closer when mine broke before ordering the new parts... back to the dealer i go..   you know what they say about assuming

To remove the black plastic around the headlight, you just need to remove a phillips screw, and pry the plastic out. No big deal.

could i just heat the mounts on the bumper and bend them back?

SULLY0556

The bumper mounts are junk.  They'll bend back but it's hard to get them right.  I'd love to see pics of someone who re-fabbed them with a better design!
