I still have my 03' kfx400 and I was thinking about what kinda of riding time I have on it vs my 07' rap700. I bought my KFX in 04' and have about 350 hours on it. I never broke into the motor, but I did do 1 valve job on it about 3yrs ago. I also burnt up the clutch earlier this year.
I've bought my 07' SEII back around the beginning of August of this year. Now grant it someone rode it a little bit before I bought it, but it was totally stock when I got it (tires still had tits). I think in the last 3 months I've put about 110 hours on it, without any issues. It's a 5 mod this week and I am pretty faithful with the maintenance on all my bikes.

How many hours do you have on your 700's? About how many hours before you started having issues if any?

I would guess I have somewhere around 40-50 hours on my new build and somewhere around 150ish on the bike in total. 8)

If your worried about it do a leek down test and a compression check it will tell you where the motor is as far as wear and if it's loosing compression around the piston or the valves. To answer your question, I have been railing on mine for four years at least three times a month. The leek down I just did showed 15% around the rings, so it's getting real close to piston time again. I think 8% is optimum, no trouble yet though.

i'd say at least 150 on my 07 and no problems yet. knock wood.

Hundreds of hours. No lie. Waiting for it to start blowing smoke & then a rebuild is in order.
