Ok, cool. I can handle that. How big is Silverlake? It isn't really noted on any of Michigans sites.

It is there but not as big as some dunes.

This year they did some random inspections for the sound levels.

You can find more documented info with pictures and videos at http://www.silverlakeforum.com

Damn... I forgot about silver lakes spark arrestor rule (been like 4+ years since I have been there).

How much does sparkys for barkers cost? My buddies have some laying around from their yfz exhaust... I might just jerry rig those up and make them fit.

What I used to do wit the POS MRBP exhaust on my first DS650 was to buy screen mesh (from a screen door) at the store, cut it and bolt it in. Worked like a charm! Only for about 300 feet...once You get on it, holes get blown in it lol.

Im voting late june and early september :)

But you don't want to mess around with the SA, mine had a hole starting in it and they wouldn't let me in.  And it was RAINING that day.

Barker pipes use HMF spark arrestors, I believe they're usually 50-60 bucks for the pair.

well I'm all for that weekend.  As long as it doesn't rain.

Should we let Mad Dog stay at our hotel this time?

Is it 450 acres rideable, or only part of it open to ORV's?

Honest opinion about HMF exhaust....Too loud? Any thoughts?

You should be fine Eric.  And its a good place to ride, not as good as out west for me but you can't beat the people we ride with.

i have a hmf and totally agree. the pipe is LOUD, but not too loud for me. but last time at silver lake dunes, we were the last ones in the lot. i took my bike out for one last lap and i was the only one out there. when i got back to the trailer everyone said they heard me the whole time around the place. so i let my dad hop on my bike and take it and it is loud the whole way around. so yes i agree it is loud, but i like it that way

hmf spark arrestors  are $9 from bikebandit  dont spend $60. if the hmf do work(which im not sure) bike bandit is the way to go

From what I found out its 450 rideable. That's about 1/4 of Lil Sahara. IDK about HMF out there with the db's, but my kfx is loud as f@#k w/HMF.
