I was quite shocked.

I always thought highly of Colin Powell, and thought he would have the best chance to be the first black President.

I read he would rather restore old Volvo's than get involved into politics.

I think I agree with that news report at some levels though.  He doesn't want his legacy defined by the public perception of George W.

I can understand that.

Flynbyu

If he wanted to come out of retirement, I'd have Powell on speed dial.

No doubt, another man of honor

Politcal alleginces are BS these days anyway.  Powell endorsing Obama, Fiengold and Lieberman endorsing McCain.

They all play the middle ground to maintain the bulk of the votes.

Flynbyu

I think Powell is straight up.

Liberman on the other hand is a straight up douche.

While I respect Powell and would have voted for him in a heart beat if he ran for POTUS, I think he has made the wrong choice in supporting Obama, just my personal opinion.

Shit, throw 3/4's of hollywood on that list

I really dislike Actors throwing there star power behind any politcal party.  But this year has been just stupid, influence should be based on fact not popularity or a fad imo

It's been that way since Clinton ran the first time. He was smart for getting on MTV and getting young people involved. He reached out to a widescale market and people (including stars) responded.
