So whats the deal with some of these "rules" at these riding areas? Like, "no loud pipes"! Doesnt just about everyone have an aftermarket pipe? I almost went to Fox Valley Offroad today, until i read their rules online about pipes. Are they really that stricked there? I didnt want to load all my shit and get there and have them whine about my pipe. Some of these places talk about db levels, well how the hell am i supposed to know how many db's my quad puts out? And how about this rule about flags?  I dont let off the throttle long enough for that flag to stand straight up! LOL I know its supposed to let people know when your coming over a hill, but come on, if your on the throttle and your going up a hill, that flag is pointing way backwards! Im not really expecting to get answers from these questions. Just a little food for thought. I know they want quiet pipes because of complaints from neighbors and such, but i'll be damned if im putting on a stock pipe! Anyone if info on which places are real sticklers about these rules would be appreciated so i can come prepaired before i drive countless hours to ride and they end up wanting a spark arrestor, or my first born childs college fund, or whatever other "rule" they can come up with. Thanks

Amen brother. Rant away!

I understand the flags...but the loud pipes? No. Performance mods and the revenue generated by them drive this entire market. ;)

Unfortunately we must make every attempt to follow the rules.  Assclowns like this get more sympathy if we don't.

very good point, soon theyre gonna make so many rules and regulations that it wont be fun to ride legally... there has to be a happy medium

I herd that silver lake is testing for DB levels this year. Last year it wasnt bad at all.

But i can see why they want u to have a flag.

exentix

is there an aftermarket pipe for the 700 UNDER 94bd? i know some are well over 100

dick-84

Sand84 ha the LTE's and he passed. Im sure there are alot of them that will pass.

exentix

really? duals and he passed? i guess they must notta been too strict then, cas i though they were all like 98+ or so? idk lol

dick-84

I think they let him pass around 100. But not 100% sure. But i know he passed. And that was with running old packing.

Rules and Restrictions are good, but at the same time kind of don't make much sense.....

Kind of like Silver Lake Requiring Spark Arrestors. ??? ??? ??? ??? ???  Nothing but sand ??? ??? ??? ??? ???
