So... I'm lookin @ mods for this winter. I was going to lay low key since I didn't get many hours on the current build, but running it, I'm already seeing a few things I'd like to change.

Is doing a +5 crank very beneficial on a 727 running an 11:1 compression piston?

What kinds of things would I see changed? Would there be much of an HP jump? ???

My wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday, that was the only thing that came to my mind.

Kenz tested this one out and they found that it made power but down low, and lost on top end.

On a side note, who would put that in for you?

Just as long as you dont end up with too much power for the xc course, which is possible.  The tq would let you stretch out your gearing if you needed to, help offset the loss attributed to heavier tires and give you more power off idle.  Just don't want all that power to send you into a tree every time you breathe on the throttle.

Krandall

good call. I didn't think of that side.

Where does a crank increase power typically? Bottom, mid, or top?

I did a plus5 hotrod and 105 bore on mine and I'm in the middle of doing another one.  Try it, you'll like it

Stroke it and dont look back. You feel the extra power right off the bottom. I love it but I ride dunes.
