I meant him and Walter Payton when I was 16 at BIR. They both had a race that weekend and he was signing autographs. I shook his and and he talking and giving autographs seemed like a really nice guy. Plus he was in one of my favorite movies Cool Hand Luke. This is just crazy

One of the greatest motorsports ambassadors ever, if not the best.
Not to mention a pretty good actor too!

I met him at RoadAmerica (Elkheart lake) when I was a kid too!  A great advocate of racing and driver safety  :(
