BTW a guys coming to look at my quad tomorrow for 2,400.

Good Job Krandall,  im gonna need help if this damn part dont work...

Here what I have done

Sandblasted part
Blown Sand Out
Wet Sanded with Rubbing Alcohol
Heated In Oven to 400F for 10 minutes
Taken out and let cool to 200F
Sprayed with Powder(flowed almost instantly)
Put in 450F oven until part reached 400F
Turned oven down to 400F
Now waiting for the 20 minutes to end to look at it

IT HAS ANY GERD DAMN BUBBLES I AM GONNA  :mad:IN FLIP

dang, I didn't know powder coating bubbled.

I know I've seen it fish eye before but I think it was due to contaminants on the metal we were painting.

I dont know what the GERD damn problem was, looked awesome going on and it cured and had MASSIVE bubbles in the one end,  I dont know how...its billet aluminum with a machine finish that I cleaned with Rubbing Alcohol and I dont know what happened...

Did you try lowering the temp? Doesn't it only bubble when the temp is too high or its in there for too long?

No, or it would affect the whole piece, its only making bubbles in certain areas.  You bake at 450F until the powder flows out then at 400F for 20 minutes on standard colors.  Bake Clear at 350F till flow and cure at 350F for 20 minutes.

may be worth getting an oven thermometer to verify the temp the oven is running at.

I have the oven calibrated and I have a Infrared Thermometer that doesnt have to even touch it
