I thought those were good specs for 689.99, until I saw that it was only 1.66ghz. I am confused because my old laptop had a higher ghz, does that mean my old computer was faster?

Also is it worth it if I can get it for like 100$ cheaper?

That is a really good deal on the computer..

the difference between your old laptop and the new one is they changed the way specs read for proccessors. so even though it looks less or the same, it is faster... the key with this one is:

Core 2 Duo Processor

This is actually a 2 core processor (meaning there's 2 processors in 1) so in reality it's like a 3.2ghz laptop vs. 1.66 if you can get it $100 cheaper, it's a steal. Even @ $700 that's a good price.

Alright thanks for explaining that to me, I was really confused. I am going to talk to my mom about it tonight, because she gets 100$ off because she works for a school, and I am hoping to find a discount coupon.
