Ahh I remember owning a JS550 then I bought a 750SX which I rebuilt the engine and kawasaki said it isnt recommended running more then 118 psi per chamber, mine was running 125psi per chamber, used to love giving it to new people and telling them to give it full throtle then to pull themselves up on it ... was always good for a laugh watching some guy giving it full throttle into his nutts   buddy that I used to go jetski'ing with used to have the original Ultra 150 which was great for doing about 70mph not fun comming off of though at that speed   :help:

yea the 550 has pipe water box head work carb intake handle pole turn plate bars etc. im pretty good on it, ill have to some vids before the lake freezes over

my dad bought a few 750's but they were all shit so he said f*ck it and were buying a 05 or newer Superjet or SXR in the spring

and i believe my buddy is running 170psi in his 550, but that could be for something else ???

Think you will find the cylinder wall on the 550 is thicker then the 750sx so he could well be running that much psi, they were good engines for tricking out.

I was being a smart ass and gave it full throttle from the floating dock and went to hop on the back but it shot off and only place i went was face 1st into the water
