This is not going to be a cool thread for most of you guys.....It's not a Viper. ;)

We have the 2005 Nissan Quest..great van.  I would like to keep it. But...
Stupid Volkswagen, I bet my wife talks me into it before too long and there is one in our driveway.
We only got rid of our Vw Jetta because of it's size and we had a baby coming. VW only had the Eurovan-barf!

2009 VW Routan.   Price is pretty competitive. And the usual VW fit and finish. We'll see. :help:

Are you gonna run  your next car beyond the warranty? If so drop the VW like a bad habit.

never had trouble with them.....But, it is a first year and it makes me nervous. The Jetta Station Wagon we had was a rock-solid car. Fit and finish is great, but I do see your point about longevity-kind of an unknown variable for us. though, we did put 100k on that thing in 3 years, only repairing brakes.

I think we'll probably stick with Nissan for now, unless we go drive this VW and it is built as good as it looks.

Thanks Colorado, I hadn't heard anything about quality.

FYI this would be the wife's car..not mine!  I will keep my truck, thanks. ;) What model and year did you own?

We had an '01 Jetta wagon. Didn't have much trouble at all. Washer fluid pump broke twice, Stock tires didn't last. It ate rear brake discs for some reason. i had to buy a special tool for that.

The more I am thinking about it, I am talking myself out of it.
