Hey guys, I just bolted on my new HMF slip-on exhaust and I noticed I have a little bit of exhaust leaking around at the clamp point.  I have it slid on as far as I can and still be able to get my rear mount bolted on.  any suggestions on how to fix this?

Krandall

There have been quite a few people that had issues w/ their barkers also leaking. What I did on mine was used some high temp silicone. Make sure to give it the proper curing time and you'll be set.

Yeah I will try and get some of that.  It feels like the exhaust leak is coming from where the two cuts are on the new pipe to help it pinch down when you tighten the clamp.  Its not bad, but I want to get it fixed none the less.

Well just took her out for a ride and seems as though I got the leak all sealed up.  Man oh man, is that HMF pipe, loud, but its not an annoying loud, nice and deep.

glad to hear you got it up and running, now get those jets in there

BoisBlancBoy

They should be here Monday!

where was the leak?  header to mid pipe joint?

Krandall

Yup, Header to mid pipe. I was also seeing one on the back of the can. Forget which side.
