suspension question/ bottoming out

haha alrighty sounds good, i know he was pretty mad after our last ride cas he jsut got a new skidplate and got it all dinged up after just one ride. i KNOW if he didnt get one when he did the motor would be toasted by now. it had a HUGE hole in the plastic one, i guess the alum. one is doing the job for now tho  :thumbs:

Finally got my computer going :clap: I havent rode it since our last ride. I did crank the spring down.it was lengthend out almost all the way at the time. On another note, I have a lowering kit installed on the front and back.Does someone have a measurment of the ground clearance to the frame under the motor on a standard 700r without being lowered or after market suspension. Im leaning toward this lowering kit being the issue, i have 8.5" of clearance to the frame on level floor.Thanks

I will take some measurements and pictures tonight for you.  although my razors have a taller profile than stock tires, it should be somewhat close.  Are you still set-up for 30% sag in the rear, and 20% in the front?  I would play with your compression setting before messing with preload if there still the correct precentages.

I had went through and set the sag ETC. butonly bottomed out either going into a whoop or coming out of it. but it rides really rough no matter what i change.I think the lowering kit took travel outta my suspension along with taking ground clearance. just not real sure. the trails we ride are real rocky and rough on the flat it felt good.plus i like the lowering kit for hillclimbing and added stability. it has the stance of a yfz right now.also helps keep the front end down better than a stocker

heck yes it should! lol you'll just more than likely be riding with a bent stem and bars for another season  :lol:

The CRJ lowering kit makes the "hard" settings feel very firm on 2006 shocks, IMO. 
I have my rear link flipped in back to lower the quad. Sometimes I install the G-Force extended rear wheel hubs & flip my front tires for the extra width.  Flipping the front tires isn't recommended but I do it anyways  ;)

He was getting one made but it wouldnt be ready in time for the local drags so he decied to make one himself with a guy at work.  :thumbs:
