I priced a trip there a couple of days ago.....Week long stay for around $6800, excluding food and transportation around Dubai while you are there.

Great place to go if you're rich & shameless!
Only reason I've been there is for work.
Kinda sucks when you are slaving your guts out all day, get back to the hotel to get some rest, only to be kept awake by the sound of the rich partying the night away!
Prostitution is rife there, so you have to be careful which pretty girls you talk to there, the nice ones go for around $1000 per day.................

I know lydia wants to go to Hawaii some time. that was the original plan for the honeymoon, but Australia came up. That's a pricey trip to go out there and stay in Maui.

Depending on your length of vacation you can do Germany, Austria, and Italy, maybe more in one trip.

I know I could do Germany and Italy in one go, but I really would like to be able to take in each country as we go to them instead of rushing around.

No plans on Austria.

Going back to Australia.  Perth, Cairnes, And NZ 8)

Lydia's next older brother Sam went to Italy and Rome for 3 weeks for their honeymoon, the pictures of the city alone were breath-taking. simply amazing

That's where we were going this year, but the price went up as I was booking it on my credit card!!!!

We were going to stay at The Fairmont Kea Lani Maui.

It jumped $1200, and I booked Antigua instead.

not the old buildings & amazing cities, the nation isn't old enough for that, but awesome scenery, & great adventure/extreme sports place.
& the US dollar buys lots here (NZ$ = $0.70US currently)

Long flight though, about 11 hours from LAX
