yeah i think your right.  depending on how high you go you may still rub. i know my 35"s rub with a 4" lift in the front

I was torn between those Hoss wheels and the Rockstars. I chose the rockstars...

05 660R with some stuff

06 2500 CTD on Rockstars

Those are nice wheels I thought about those myself....
Who makes 36" tires  ???

If they're going on a Chevy 1500 it's going to :bash: the hell out of it cause even with 6" lift the torsion keys will probably be cranked all the way up.  If it is 4x do a straight axle conversion otherwise your truck will look like this

Langford

Good looking wheels!  I'm going to run a set of the 20x10 KMC XD Monsters on my truck as soon as I kill my current tires, they will be ran with 38x15.5r20 Toyo M/T's.
'07 powerwheels raptor...with a belt driven twin screw centrifugal turbocharger!  Wait for it, wait for it...!

alot of companies make 36" tires, and i would like to do a straight axle conversion but it is way too much money and it can never go back to stock and no the torsions will not be cranked

Yeah I guess if you want to run Slicky Mickeys or Swampers...Never heard of a 7" lift either.

Not trying to talk shit I used to work in the industry. just trying to shed a little light in case you have'nt done your homework yet.

Do yourself a favor run a 35" tire it will open up your options and you won't have to go 8" or 6" with a body lift. Unless you want to go huge... Then by all means.

Btw a SAS can be done on the cheap. But yeah you really cant go back but why would you want to.  I've seen what happens to these Chevy's  cause of a broken tie rod

This is at the local OHV it all started as a broken tie rod.  The owner thought he would come back to fix it and left it by the time he returned it was thrashed.  He tried reporting it stolen.  Last I heard his insurance co. was being billed for a heli-evac
