Cowards die many times before their deaths The valiant never taste of death but once

Bert

I called Sigma & left a voicemail.  I'll call tomorrow from work as I may not hear my phone the rest of the day.

Hey guys, i recently bought this
https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=143
and then a handle bar mount
http://www.antonline.com/p_010-10267-00-GP_186879.htm

which should fit our handle bars. i will do a review once i get the mount in. Nice thing about GPS is no need to put size of tires and what not. usually alot more accuarte.

take care.

FoundArealQuad

I have that GPS and handle bar mount and I have yet to use it. Good call getting it out now.
DMC Force 4s, PCIII, Mod Quad Intake, Flexx Bars, Alba Nerfs with Pro Pegs, Rox +2 adjustable risers, CCP, EHS airbox cover

Bert

dmx434343 - Pretty nice, alitmeter, compass & GPS. Can be used on motorcycle, quad, car etc.....your link said discontinued  ???

Danny T

it is discontinued, but ebay and others have plenty. there is a similar model that is more "up to date" but also more expensive. This one works good, any E Trex series uses the same mount so yeah. I will let you guys know how it works when i get the mount.

I wrote some quick notes while talking to Brooke @ Cigma

~for reliability she recommended a wired unit vs wireless.

~Look at the 506 & 906.

~Use Rare Earth Magnets from Radio Shack. ( they are stonger)

~The 506 has an auto function.  ??? I forgot what Brooke said about that

~The 906 has
current speed
avg speed
max speed
trip distance
total distance

~check the accessories if longer cables are needed

www.sigmasportstore.com

I'll look at Cigma's site later...

Do you think we could get by w/ the $29.99 model? ???
BC 1106 - $30
BC 906 -   $25
BC 506 -   $20

I looked @ Cigma's comparison chart & still not sure which would be best.

Bert

#25
The cadence function will not work as a Tachometer, it only reads to 200.
The MPH will read to 199 mph so no worries there.
The battery should last a year no problem assuming there's no severe temp conditions. Replacement batteries are 3-5$ @ Wally World. The same battery @ Radio Shack probably cost more.

Its hard a find any negative aspects of the Sigma Cyclometer  ???

Krandall

I'll pick one up this weekend (buy it) we'll go from there.
