Brett caused this mess, not the Packers.

They have to move forward.  It's just a lose-lose situation.......unless you're a bears fan

I think what brett did was a reaction, I would do the same.  The shit was started by their gm.

If you retire, the team has to make adjustments and move forward.  The if you un-retire 8 weeks later and expect to be handed the starting spot a week before the first Pre-season game?

I'm a huge Brett and Packer fan, but man what a clusterfuck  ::)

If I was Brett and decided to come back..........FERK yes I would want the starting job back.  I'm Brett Favre!  There is no way the back up could play at the same level.

Brett retired, had a change of heart. The Pack didn't want him going to a rival, because they know Brett still has game for a veteran quarterback. Brett wanted to return to the Pack and start, but the Pack said no, you'll backup Rogers. I don't blame Brett. I understand the Pack wants to move on, but don't hold another man back that is near the end of his career. I would have had Rogers on the bench.

Yeah, I'm not seeing Rodgers play worth a crap.

But Brett has been playing the retirement card for three years, the finally pulls the trigger.  Just think of the O-line blocking scheme adjustments to support Brett is massively diffrent than Rodger's.  Along with reciever route timings, and so on.  It's not just plug and play for the quaterback position.

And the Packers were going to have to readjust from how they practiced throughout training camp right before pre-season.  Bad Juju.

They would of been fine.  These guys have been playing with Brett for years and it wouldn't take much at all to get back in gear.  I think Brett give so much every year that by the end of the season he is done and has nothing left, but after a few months off he feels good again.  I can understand that.

I disagree, but it's irrelevant now.  I just wish he would have takin' more time before he anounced his retirement, then 99% of all this would have been avoided.

By saying this i know you guys are going to roast me

Im a Jets fan, i got a call at midnight last night and i was pissed when i answered because i was asleep, then they told me he is a jet now, and i litterally fell out of my bed  :grin_nod:

The Jets are no where near the worst team in football in my opinion, especially now.

Atleast now me and my dad dont have to be embarassed because we have a Jets hitch cover on our truck  :nana: :nana:

Flynbyu

Actually the Jets were tied for 3rd worst team with Atlanta. The Rams were second, and Miami first.

Do I think Brett will help? A little. He's got to have some blocking, and that's something the Jets line will not provide. He'll run for his life, and I wouldn't be suprised if he didn't get injured this year by being sacked.

No offense to your Jets, but their picks sucked in the draft and now they FINALLY get a star quarterback...5 years too late. If they win 6 games this year, I would feel like that's a major improvement.

Peelz

meh, Bretty Favre is an old basstard any ways, no one will care in a few years. I was a huge 49'ers fan, being from the bay area, I was distraught when Montana left for KC. Then Jerry Rice left for the Raiders. I hated the Raiders. Now, I could give two $hits about football period. OOOOHHH Let's have three hours of commercials added to the boring one hour of actual play, of which 1/4 is huddle time.

need to update the play clock to 10 seconds, and do away with timeouts.  :grin_nod: Then I will start watching again.

Oh, and I still think it is wrong to let them leave college early. Make some of these idiots earn that giant paycheck!  I have listened to their interviews, some can't even speak correct english, It drives me nuts to see them making 7 figure salaries, and be dumber than a box o' rocks, and talk like jughead from Fat Albert.
O'tay, Rant over.
