  Swing by and pick me up Warren. I'm in for Early spring next year or late fall again. Not during the festivals though. I see you have the dunes "sickness" too.  We'll keep posting updates. Early planning maybe we can get quite a few people.

yeah i was hoping for a few people to join in here. that would be great to have a turn out like the silver lake trips. or even the trip to the badlands. that was a good turn out too.

If you wanna plan waaaayyyy in advance, I'm already in for October 2009. The weather in the fall is perfect, and.. dunes not so crowded. Sand is dryer than the spring. 

by far, the best riding experience...ever IMO! plus, open 24/7 you can ride anytime.

Which is why I don't care to go to most places. Ride for 4 hrs, then sit around...not my style.

I'll definitely put whatever date we come up with on the calendar!

It is. But man, is it fun! Got there at 2 am, rode til 4am.

Up at 8:30am to the sound of banshee with drag pipes at full bore! repeat process 4 times for coolest riding of my life. Hundreds of people out riding all decked out in LED's all over their quads, trucks, and rhinos etc. It was awesome! We were following a group they went over the steep side of a dune, and my buddy followed them over..only, they stopped. He went sraight down into the pond at the bottom. Pitch black out, up to the pipes in the water, it sucked getting it out, but it was cool to see.

I would possibly be interested if i'm not layed up still.  I'll go during any festival or whenever.  You guys just have to spot me a couple of bike lengths if we race.

ok peels since you have been there, and it sounds like most of us posting here havn't. what is the best months to ride. i'm with you on the crowd(sp) thing. i don't want a shit load of people clogging up the dunes. lol i know you said october would be good. but what other months are good?
