anyone own exotic pets?

i'm just curious if anyone has any exotic pets such as spiders, scorpions, snakes(not to exotic but anyway), or anything else?

i'm wanting to get a tarantula, a emporior scorpion, and a ball python someday and i was wondering if anyone had any of these pets?

if so then how good of a pet are they?

have you ever been bitten or stung by them?

do you have any pics?

and what did you name them?


or if you have any other pet that most people don't have post them up in here too.

I have a ball python named Leo. Its the most maitainence free pet I've ever had. He doesn't smell and only eats once a month. I've never been bitten but I don't think it would hurt too bad if he did decide to bite me. He's only 2 1/2 feet. I've been tossing around the idea of getting a scorpion myself for my desk top they're just REALLY creepy. I probably wouldn't touch it

I'm not too sure. Maybe 2-2 1/2 years old. I found some emperor scorpions for 16.99 at my local pet store a little while ago. Man they are gross. I would freak if it ever got loose   Snakes don't bother me. I'd be more scared of a tarantula or a scorpion.

I got him for free. Someone didn't want him anymore so I took him. They usually get between 36-48 inches.

Just wondering, what is the point to owning a tarantula or a emporior scorpion?  What do you get out of owning a pet like that.  I can see why people have dogs and cats but I can't figure those out.

Maybe similar to people who have Fish.

You can't really do anything with them, but they are cool none the less

and i used to have a chinchilla til my ex's dog ate it.....
