Calexi did you read what I wrote in the fishing thread. I love Baja and have spent years no decades traveling all over. I have found the locals to be some of the best humans I have ever met. But in recent time some shit heads have been doing bad stuff. this is really hurting the good folks with loss of money due no tourism. If somthing is not done lots of good familys are going to suffer. I hope the govmt can cool things down. It will not stop me or you but we cannot support the whole peninsula . FR.

yea, corruption in the govt has to do alot with that, cops are the ones to be aware of, they are not there to protect you, hopefully all this changes because after every murder announced in the news, less and less tourist go

Down where we are at we have some good local cops in our poblado. We are very lucky. The Marines bring in new guys every 8 to 12 weeks so they can not get dirty. These are special forces guys and they get the job done. The DR,s are not nearly as plentiful as they were where we are at.
