How do you push the parking break in to change rear pads?

Rear pads were down the the metal so I am trying to replace them.  Just wondering how to adjust the parking break back in so I can get these on there.  It almost looks like it screws in but I'm not sure.  Thanks for advice!

ok, now I screwed them in too far.  I no longer have parking breaks.  Is there an easy/right way to do this?

Figured out how to open service manual linked on this site.  No more stupid questions....welll..........
