My buddy came across a couple of bikes locally. Still negotiating on a purchase price. Mine will be the 1966 Yamaha YM1 305 2 stroke 2 cylinder rated @ 30 HP. The bike has 8000 miles on it & is white in color. Electric start & kick start.  The plan is a resto-mod into cafe racers. I knew the building that they were parked in & it looked like it was going to fall down the last 25 years so I'm surprised it contained anything like this.  The previous owner died so titles need to be gotten at the DMV but after buying the bikes they'll need tires, batterys, carb rebuild kits, cafe style seats, different mirrors & some TLC. I haven't seen them in person yet but hear the paint is prob okay. Heres a pic of a bike in good condition circa 1966

The other bike is a 1976 Honda CB200 with 8000 miles rated @ 17 HP. Here's a pic of it in its glory days.  Be interesting to see how rough these bikes are...

Still trying to get a title for the bike.... ugh.

Congrats Krandall on a wife that rides a bike vs being a passenger

Bummer, If you go to the DMV with the Vin you should be able to find the last owner
