Media center

Anyone here running a media center?  I'm having a 12tb unit built right now for my new home theater and I'm thinking about running XBMC.  Has anyone run this or used another software?

xbox media centre isnt too bad, i have used a couple others as well, but in the end i wasnt happy with how they worked and i now just use windows.  What are you looking to do with it specifically?

I've never heard of XBMC. I've used Media Center Windows and Xbox. Both have done the job well. I guess it really depends on what you're going for?

Are you planning on converting all your dvd's to digital?

xbmc is one of the popular systems.  Seems good so far. 

And yes, I'm converting all my dvd's and blurays to digital.  It will also house all our family vids and pictures.

OH, and GT5 is killer in 3D.
