MY FANTASTIC TUESDAY!!

Well it is 6:30p.m. here and I have not been asleep yet, awake for over 24hrs. now, and I still have to go to work tonight. But that is just the boring part of my day. MY FANTASTIC TUESDAY!!  started at 7:30a.m. Get home from work and get the kids up and ready for school, of course they will not move quick enough to make the bus!!! No biggie, i'm used to it. Well get my butt ready for the days field trip with my son to the pumpkin patch at school. Get them feed, lunchs packed and we're off. Make it in the nick of time!! Well I know where we are going so I go ahead and leave, boy has to ride the bus. Well I'm flyin the down the highway it starts rainin and lighting. All the sudden sounds like a bomb went off, truck dies, vents start spewing smoke and sparks, my gauge cluster is fried and the pillar gauges melted internally!! I pull over to the side of the highway along with a few other people who follow me, get the hell out of the truck and relize what just happened!!!! I JUST GOT FUCKIN HIT BY LIGHTING DOIN 80 ON THE HIGHWAY!!!!!!!!! Got the truck hauled home, still made it to the pumpkin patch and picked the wife up from work. Inside of the truck smells like a fireworks show went off in it. My anttenna is melted and I have now idea how bad the damage is to the truck. And i still have not slept!!!!! HELL YEAH!!! But on the bright side I did not wreck or get hurt and I still got to spend the rest of my day with my son. All in all I consider it a good day!!! I'm alive and kickin and sittin here bitchin!!

your truck is mechanical right?  I'm surprised it died.  maybe an electrical fuel pump?  I've been in a car when lightning struck next to it but never been in a vehicle actually struck by lightning.  you can add your story to the "something you've done but nobody else here has" thread. 

any idea of how much the fix is going to run?  and I'm pretty sure getting struck by lightning is a good excuse to b*tch a liile bit.

my brother and dad got struck by lightning pulling a stock trailer. trucked died but an old bag phone that was disconnected started working lol.

Well I have to Nikki! I got kids and a granddaughter. Plus what good does it do to walk around angry? NOTHING!!! So deal with it and go on and fix it. Well I get it hauled tommorrow and the let the fixing begin!!! Also thanks to all with thegood comments about me stayin around!!!!
